About me!

A Southern California-native, my path in journalism brought me 3,000 miles away to the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Within my first year at Syracuse University, I interviewed crime victims for a reporting project, The Infodemic, sparking my passion for investigative journalism and commitment to telling the hard stories with empathy and honesty. I soon joined TheNewshouse as a contributing writer covering crime, entertainment and campus events.

I also got involved with The Good Life Magazine and quickly rose from staff writer, to section editor, to assistant editor. I will take over the magazine as editor-in-chief next semester.

Last summer, I interned with CBS/KCAL News in Los Angeles, shadowing reporters on daily crime and breaking news stories. Based out of Phoenix, I will join the Carnegie-Knight News21 fellowship investigating immigration and mass deportations under a second Trump presidency this upcoming summer.

In my career, I hope to work in investigative reporting, focusing on criminal justice, public safety and accountability.
